My 100-Day Blueprint

Hey there, fellow adventurers in the quest for self-assurance! Ever wondered how someone stumbles into becoming a Confidence Coach? Spoiler alert: it involves a mix of happy accidents, 'aha' moments, and maybe one too many cups of coffee. Let me take you on a whirlwind tour of my journey to Confidence Coaching and unveil my master plan for our 100-day expedition of turning my followers from “Shy to Fly!”


The 'Lightbulb' Moment

It all started on a lazy Sunday morning. Picture this: me in my favorite pajamas, coffee in hand, pondering over life. Then, bam! A thought struck me like a wayward frisbee – what if I could channel my passion for empowering others into something bigger?

Haha, I wish my story was that easy… My story actually starts with the dissolution of 10-year romantic relationship in September 2023, and that’s what go me to ponder “my purpose” in life. While I was lamenting the end of a relationship, my ex highlighted my lack of purpose in life. Maybe he was right? A few therapy sessions later, I realized that I had spent the past decade helping someone else work toward their dream and had put mine on the back-burner. But, what was my dream…

What did I want to do? Who did I want to be? I guess I was starting fresh at 36… Yikes!

As I reflected upon everything that I did - educating, writing textbooks, running an Airbnb, leading tours - I found that there was one thing that I did well with each venture. The common denominator is that I bring energy and confidence to whatever I’m working on and I have the power to inspire people.

Recognizing this was a full-blown, LED-powered revelation. And thankfully, this revelation happened as I began teaching social media courses at Onondaga Community College.

The Confidence Alchemy

Next up in my tale is the alchemy of transforming self-doubt into golden confidence. Imagine a mad scientist's lab, but instead of beakers and Bunsen burners, it's filled with tools like positive psychology, affirmations, and a dash of daring. When I first started Hunky Neighbor in early 2022, I niched-down and tried to focus on helping individuals build habits. At the time I was inspired by the book “Atomic Habits,” which, seriously, it’s a fabulous read! Yet, for me, chatting about “habits” wasn’t authentic and it felt too confining - also, do I really have the best habits?

Flash-forward to the start of the 2023-2024 academic year, and I was requiring my students in my Introduction to Social Media course to post on Instagram once per week. I told them, “Everything that you are required to post, I’ll do the exact same thing.” Throughout my posts and classroom experiences this semester, I came to the realization that I empower people with confidence.

This all clicked at the same time “Tube Girl” was blowing up on TikTok!

Before I knew it, I was mapping out my journey to helping my followers become more confident, and who knows, maybe I’ll be just as successful as Sabrina Bahsoon (aka Tube Girl).


The 100-Day Master Plan

Now, fasten your seatbelts as we unveil the pièce de résistance – the 100-Day Plan! Think of it as the treasure map to unearthing your self-belief, and for me, a 100-Day Plan to get better at making TikTok videos and learning how to edit content.

This isn't your average X-marks-the-spot deal; it's more like a theme park map brimming with exciting rides. Throughout my journey, I’m going to document how my confidence has changed, my ah-ha moments with social media, and pinpoint the challenges I faced along the way. Yep, I’ll share it all with you and we're talking about practical exercises, reflective pit-stops, and maybe even some virtual high-fives along the way. Also, we’ll find out what actually works and trends on social media!!
